Simply put, women are pickier when it comes to height requirements.
We all know this is true. I’ve put turned down by many women who are taller than me.
It hurts!
In fact, the last survey by Psychology Today reveals that women do not see short men as good options as tall man. The survey also included a case study from a blogger, who was 5 feet and 4 inches tall. After adding five more inches to his height on a social network profile, he got a higher response rate from women.
NOOO WAYYYY!!
Another methodical experiment and survey found out that almost half women restrict the dating search to individuals who are taller than them.
With that being said, there are numerous reasons why women should try dating a short guy, and even marry him. It’s just simple short guys make a better husband!
Here are five reasons why short guys make better husbands. Let’s START!
1. Full with confidence
Let’s put it this way, if a guy is willing to go out with a taller woman, he is secure enough and confident enough to date a competitive and career-oriented woman. What short guys lack in height, they more than make up in confidence.
And when it comes to confidence, it is one of the underrated factors that contribute to long and lasting marriage. Guys that are not confident in themselves often gravitate towards jealousy, and that is the worst kind of a man you can marry. A jealous guy will question every move you make, and every move he makes.
There is a reason why “Napoleon Complex” has been accepted as a term by psychologists around the world. It is a code for ridiculously ambitions and confident men, oozing with confidence and ready to take over the world. While most people might characterize this confidence as cocky, it is actually same as saying a woman is a “bitchy”.
2. They do more housework
In a working paper by a sociologist at New York University, the data shows that short guys do more housework than their taller counterparts. Collecting data from 5,000 families for more than 50 years, the group of sociologists found out that short guys perform approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes of housework per week. That amount contributes 28% of the total housework done in the home. For comparison, average height guys do 7 hours and 38 minutes of housework, with taller guys doing 7 hours and 30 minutes of housework.

My girlfriend would definitely vouch for this too. I an excellent chef and I clean pretty well too.
3. Short Guys earn more
In the same study by the New York University, researchers found out that short guys actually earn more than their taller rivals. Short guys bring more money in the household than their wives. And while for some women money means individuality, it is nice to know that a guy can provide for his family.
For comparison, 78% (or 8 out of 10 short guys) earn more than their partner in marriage. When it comes to average and tall guys, that number falls to 69 and 71 percent. While there are studies that show that tall men earn more than short men, those studies usually do not factor the total income of the household and the dynamics between partners. According to several experts in the field, since tall men are aware of their status, they are less motivated to pitch in in their household.
4. Short guys live longer
If a guy lives longer, you will have a partner for longer period of your life. It is that simple. And when it comes to health, short guys live on average two years more than their tall rivals.
According to some scientific researchers, the reason is in the genes, or more precisely, a gene that short guys carry that is linked with longevity. Guys that are 5 feet and 2 inches tall and below live the longest.
5. Less likely to divorce
When it comes to love, the rule is the shorter the guy, the longer the relationship (marriage). A recent study has shown that short men are less likely to get divorce. In the study, the scientists conclude that short men are more dedicated, and they are more likely to go the distance. One thing to note though, short guys marry later in life than taller guys. However, tall guys divorce earlier.
Summing up:
So ladies! The next time someone shorter asks you out, don’t say NO. 🙂
Give us a chance alright!
